SOGREAH

Based in Grenoble since 1958, French engineering consultants Sogreah - Société Grenobloise d'études et d'applications hydrauliques - are hydraulics and environment specialists, with a substantial proportion of their operations in the international arena. Independent from any industrial or financial group, Sogreah boasts a wide network of agents and subsidiaries both in France and abroad.

VERI

Set up in January 2007, VERI - Veolia Environnement Research and Innovation - coordinates Group research programmes focussing on sustainable development in four main areas, namely the management of water resources, waste disposal, energy services and public transport.

A world leader in environmental services with a workforce of over 300,000 people on five continents, Veolia Environnement provides tailored solutions to industry and local authorities in those four areas of operation, i.e. water, energy, waste management and transport.

LHSV

The hydraulics laboratory of Saint-Venant - Laboratoire d'Hydraulique Saint-Venant - set up in January 2008, is a shared research unit between the civil engineering school ENPC (Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées), marine and waterways technical services CETMEF (Centre d'Etudes Techniques Maritimes Et Fluviales), and the R&D of French power company EDF (Electricité de France).

CEDRE

Water-pollution documentation, research and experimentation facility CEDRE- Centre de Documentation, de Recherche et d'Expérimentations sur les Pollutions Accidentelles des Eaux - is a state-affiliated Non-Profit Organization set up in 1978 in the aftermath of the Amoco Cadiz oil spill, with the aim of enhancing the state of readiness in the event of accidental water pollution and strengthening France's disaster response capability. As an advisory body financed by government subsidies in addition to public and private contracts, CEDRE offers expertise encompassing both marine and inland waters.

LCA

Agribusiness laboratory LCA - Laboratoire de Chimie Agro-Industrielle - was the first public body to implement a scientific approach including chemical structure, properties and reactivity of agromolecules. Today, its development work on interdisciplinary research, both fundamental and applied, addresses issues such as innovation, technology transfer and environmental impact.

EDF/LNHE

EDF/LNHE - Electricité de France/Laboratoire National d'Hydraulique et Environnement - is one of the 15 departments of the Research and Development division of the EDF Group.
